A somewhat happy ending to a tragic house fire in Bakersfield, California.
A little Shih-Tzu was brought back to life after a fireman, firefighter Smith, found the little guy during the blaze of the fire on Wednesday.
The pooch, nicknamed Jack, is still recovering from burns to his feet and smoke ventilations after being treated by vets. Jack was resuscitated through an animal oxygen supply unit.
Veterinarian hospital told news outlets he should be out in the next few days.
BFD IN ACTION #BFDaction #BakersfieldFDBFD Firefighters rescued a pet canine from the earlier 4627 Quarter Ave residential structure fire today. The small breed dog was pulled from the interior unresponsive, with semi-agonal respirations, and as its concerned owner looked on, BFD Firefighters revived the pet using a specialized animal oxygen mask and high flow oxygen.
